Rwanda Climate Action Plan
Rwanda’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) is a climate action plan that serve as a blueprint for advancing targeted and measurable climate action for both climate change adaptation and mitigation. The NDC indicated the actions that will drive the country on its target. The actions are divided in two sections, climate mitigation and adaptation actions. the mitigation actions are divided in four sectors while adaptation actions are divided in 7 sectors

Mitigation Priorities
Climate Actions related to agriculture will reduce 49% of 4.6 million tones of greenhouse gases by 2030.
Climate Actions related to energy sector will reduce 34% of 4.6 million tones of greenhouse gases by 2030.
Climate Actions in waste sector will reduce 14% of 4.6 million tones of greenhouse gases by 2030.
Climate Actions in industry sector will reduce 3% of 4.6 million tones of greenhouse gases by 2030.
Adaptation Priorities
Integrate the disaster risk monitoring, climate finance and early warning
Ensure the companies are deploying the climate compatible mining
Increase the capacity to adapt to disease outbreaks
Establish and adopt the green buildings to increase adaptive capacity
Promote the agroforestry, afforestation and sustainable land management
Promote the climate resilient livestock, crops, and employ green technologies
Ensure water security, wetlands restoration, and efficient water use
